Hello dear guest and potential member,
If you are interested in viewing the entire forum to start lurking and settling in, then please follow these steps in order. It may seem daunting at first, but the process was introduced to keep the forum secure, which you will benefit from as well if you decide to become an active member!
1.Complete the sign-up process by clicking the "Register" link in the top menu. Please note that due to the nature of some of the discussions in this forum, all members must be at least 18 years of age to lurk and read the forum. While we host adult-related discussions, does not mean that is our focus. We cater; it's not all we serve. Having those under 18 access to these discussions is not only upping the "ick" factor, but it's morally wrong and illegal. After you have signed up, you should be able to login, if the forum hasn't done that for you already.
2.Click the profile link in the menu, which takes you to your profile to view and edit it. Click on the "Forum Profile Information" link in the left hand side menu and put in your birth date where provided. You do not have to fill anything else out on your profile, but the birth date is mandatory. Please note that guests cannot view profiles, so your birth date is secure. If you really do not want your age to be public to even the regular members, then PM me, Sara with your current age and birth date. After you have been moved into the regular membergroup (Active Member) and you can see the entire forum, then you may remove your birth date from your profile. You can also PM our Mintroduction Mods: Shalimar, Keen, LittleRedVixen, PooperScooper and Sealink. They are here to do the work of managing the membergroup switching while I, Sara, am not around to do it.
3.Return to the front page and you will see that there is a new forum called "Introductions: Your First Thread" that you are allowed to view. Please make a new thread and in it, please introduce yourself. This allows members of the forum to meet you and vice versa, and to also see who is lurking in the forum. It also allows you to understand the community a bit better. Feel free to view the other threads in this board to get an idea of how to create your introduction thread. If you do not feel "right" in opening a public intro thread, then just PM me, Sara (or Shalimar, or Keen, or LittleRedVixen or Sealink or PooperScooper if I am offline and they are on) with your introduction, including your birthdate, if you don't want that public to the members either.
If you completed these three steps to the fullest, and you are at least 18 years of age and everything goes well with your introduction then I the admin will place you into the "Active Member" membergroup. And then all of the boards on the forum will be open for you to view and participate in! Please note that you will not receive any type of emails when you are placed into the "Active Member" group. You must check back here to make sure you got in.
As much as I wish that the registration process could be so much simpler, there have been incidents in the past with trolls and spammers, and in turn a more secure system of allowing new members was needed. While this particular current system is not 100% effective, it is much more secure than traditional forum registration methods, and it provides efficient protection in case certain "undesirables" manage to pass through. You are more than welcome to continue lurking once you are able to view the rest of the forum, but this process allows the forum regulars to know who is reading their posts.

*Please note that the admin and/or the members can refuse your admission into the forum at any time for any reason. We are not some sort of "elitist club" but we do value our privacy and security.
WE ALSO PURGE ACCOUNTS THAT DID NOT GO THROUGH THE SIGN-UP PROCESS ABOVE AND/OR WERE NOT SUBMITTED INTO THE REGULAR MEMBERGROUP. THEY MAY BE DELETED WITHIN 48 HOURS OR MORE. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO FOLLOW THROUGH. ACCOUNTS THAT ARE NOT IN THE ACTIVE MEMBERGROUP ARE SUBJECT TO DELETION SINCE THEY ARE NOT APART OF THE COMMUNITY. WHEN YOU SIGN UP, FOLLOW THE LISTED PROCEDURE ABOVE COMPLETELY IMMEDIATELY SO THAT YOUR ACCOUNT WILL NOT BE DELETED.
